I wish you had : in the vast majority of Samsung televisions, it is impossible to install Google Play Store directly.
The reason is the operating system. Practically all current Samsung Smart TVs run on TizenOS, which is Samsung’s own system. The Play Store is exclusive to Google’s ecosystem, designed for Android and Android TV. They are different worlds and are not compatible. Articles that promise step-by-step guides to install it on Tizen, like some you find on the web, are usually inaccurate or misleading. Trying to force the installation using APK files is a recipe for failure and can compromise the security of the not naked of apps. It has its own store, the Smart Hub (sometimes called Samsung Apps or Store). There you will find the main applications: Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max, etc. The process is simple: you go to “Apps” in the home menu, use the search engine or browse by categories, and select “Install”.
If an application doesn’t work, before getting desperate, try this (from least to most drastic):
- Log out completely in the app before turning off the TV. Many loading problems come from open sessions that get corrupted.
- Do a soft reset: hold down the power button on the remote until the TV turns off and back on (about 5 seconds).
- Reinstall the app: go to “Apps”, select it, and choose the, on a television with full-fledged Android TV.
