You’re there entering your data all precise, with your decimals all carefully set, like:
127.3849
And suddenly Excel converts it into:
127.38
EXCUSE ME?! Who gave you permission to cut my numbers, Excel? 😤

✋ Here’s how to tell it: “DON’T ROUND MY NUMBERS, YOU JERK” 🧠💥

🔧 OPTION 1: Change the format of the cell (the fastest one)

1. Select the cell or range you want
2. Right-click → Format Cells
3. Go to the Number tab
4. Choose “Number” and increase the decimals to whatever you want (2, 4, 8, whatever you feel like)
5. Hit accept and bam! it respects your decimals 👊

💻 OPTION 2: Formula with total control

If you’re using functions like =ROUND() without meaning to… well, there’s the problem.
Change that formula to:

• =A2 (without rounding functions)
• Or use =TRUNC(A2, 4) if you just want to cut decimals without rounding anything

⚠️ IMPORTANT:

Excel doesn’t actually round the data “for real” unless you tell it to. What happens is that it only shows what you’ve told it to show.
So if you see fewer decimals, it’s probably just hiding the others. They’re not lost! You just have to show more.
