Setting one up is one of those things that look like a fairy tale on the outside and a mouse trap on the inside. I’m going to tell you quickly, with the raw data and the guts out in the open, because that whole “easy money” thing is the first lie they’re going to tell you, not even 10,000. I’m talking about tens or hundreds of thousands. So you get an idea of what “money” is, many only to start giving their interesting figures. Google, for example, only you lose yourself. Try to do everything and it does nothing well. Focus on one, sometimes it’s selling the website: Yes, just like you hear it. Create a site, grow it until it generates stable income, and sell it on platforms like Flippa or Empire Flippers. It’s like the digital real estate market. It’s not for everyone, but it proves that the final asset is the website itself.
The real order of things (Or how not to go crazy)
- Choose a topic you won’t get tired of talking about for 2 years. Don’t choose a “profitable niche” that you hate.
- Create useful content, in bursts, consistently. You don’t need an article a day. Do one good one a week. For at least 6-12 months, forget about the money. Just think about who comes and what they need.
- When you have a steady trickle of visits (not a stream), activate ONE single monetization method. The one that best fits your content and your audience.
- Listen, measure, and adapt. Do people click on the ads? Do they buy through your links? If not, the problem isn’t monetization, it’s that they still don’t trust you or you haven’t chosen the right product.
- Repeat, scale, and maybe one day, sell.
It’s background work, of patience. It’s not “active” versus “passive”. It’s “building” versus “waiting”. You decide which side you want to be on.
