💻 Where do you do it?
All from the Tax Agency’s website 👉 www.agenciatributaria.es
You look for the 2025 Tax Return section (as soon as they activate it) and you log in with one of these methods:
🔐 Cl@ve PIN
🔑 Reference number
🪪 Digital certificate or DNIe
In other words, you have to identify yourself no matter what. No going in blindly 😂
📆 When?
It usually starts at the beginning of April (around the 2nd or 3rd) and ends on June 30th.
‼️ WATCH OUT: if you’re going to set up direct debit (meaning, if it comes out as paying and you want them to charge you), the deadline is a bit earlier. Don’t leave it for the last day because then the drama starts 😩
🧾 What is the draft?
Basically, the Tax Agency makes you a summary with the data it already has about you: salaries, withholdings, mortgage, children, etc. You just have to check if everything is correct ✅
💡 IMPORTANT: sometimes things are missing. So review it. Because if you don’t add something (like rent, donations, or that you worked in two places), they can mess you up later 🤷♀️
🛠 What if something needs to be changed?
You can modify it yourself before confirming. Super easy, I swear.
And if you don’t get it, you can request an appointment and they’ll help you (although getting an appointment is another adventure in itself… 🎢)
💸 Does it come out as paying or getting a refund?
If it comes out as paying: you can split it, 60% now and 40% in November.
If it comes out as a refund: file it as soon as possible so the money arrives sooner 💰😎
Survival tips 🔍
✅ Have your data from the previous year on hand
✅ Keep a copy of everything
✅ If you have doubts, better to ask (or find an advisor)
✅ And FOR GOD’S SAKE, don’t leave it for June 29th 😅
