The process begins with the precise dosing and mixing of the components. Next comes forming: common methods are the float process for flat glass (the liquid mass is poured onto a tin bath) and blowing or molding for containers and special pieces. After forming, the glass undergoes a controlled annealing to relieve internal stresses and, if applicable, thermal treatments such as tempering to increase its strength. Finally, it is inspected, cut, and packaged.
