Hey, Bolivians, men and women, get ready because the cold is coming in full force. And watch out, because in the valleys of Tarija, Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz things are getting serious with frosts.

🌬️ What’s happening?
A cold front is coming at us from the afternoon of Wednesday, July 16 until the afternoon of Friday, July 18, 2025. Temperatures will drop between 6 and 12 degrees below normal for each area. That means your coat has to be within reach, because the cold isn’t going to let up.
🏔️ Where will the cold be felt the most?
- In Chuquisaca, the provinces of Luis Calvo, Hernando Siles, eastern Boeto and Tomina will feel the blow. And the valleys of Nor Cinti, Sud Cinti, Boeto, Tomina, Azurduy, Yamparáez, Zudañez and Oropeza are bracing for some serious frosts.
- In Santa Cruz, temperatures will drop in a whole bunch of provinces: Andrés Ibañez, Warnes, Ichilo, Sara, Santiesteban, Chiquitos, Guarayos, Ñuflo de Chávez, Velasco, Ángel Sandoval, Germán Busch and Cordillera. And the valleys of Vallegrande, Florida and Caballero will be dealing with frosts.
- In Beni, really cold days for Moxos, Marban, Cercado, Mamoré, Iténez, Yacuma and Vaca Diez.
- In Cochabamba, the cold will hit hard in eastern Chapare and northern Carrasco.
- And in Tarija, provinces like O’Connor, Gran Chaco, eastern Méndez, Cercado and Aniceto Arce will freeze a bit. Plus, the valleys of Arce, Méndez, Avilés and Cercado are in the crosshairs for frosts.
🧥 Tip of the day:
If you’re in those areas, don’t forget your coat, but don’t neglect the plants and animals either! The cold hits hard and you have to take care of yourself so you don’t end up with colds or surprises.
