Heyyy everyone, this is for those of you who are working through the whole <a href="https://www.chusmeando.com/preguntas-y-respuestas/consulta-como-sacar-RFC/” title=”Consulta cómo sacar RFC”>RFC thing and don’t know how to update it… because yeah, I also put it off until the SAT gave me a scare hahahaha 😭

So here’s the real step-by-step, explained without all the fancy jargon. Read it and save this post because it’ll come in handy sooner or later 🔁👇

📲 What can you update on your RFC?
Things like:

🔹 Your address (if you moved)
🔹 Your tax regime (if you’re now selling stuff online or registered for something new)
🔹 Your name (if you got married or something changed)
🔹 Your economic activity (if you used to be a freelancer and now you sell baked goods, for example 🍰💼)

💻 Option 1: Do it online (the easiest if you have your e.signature or SAT password)

1. Go to 👉 www.sat.gob.mx
2. Go to “RFC” and then “Update”
3. Log in with your password or e.signature
4. Choose what you want to change (address, obligations, activity, etc.)
5. Fill in the data, sign, and submit it
6. Done, they give you a receipt. Save it like it’s gold! 🧾✨

⚠️ Pro tip: If you don’t have an e.signature, then there’s no other way… you have to go to the SAT in person 😩

🏢 Option 2: In person (when there’s no other choice)

1. Go to 👉 https://citas.sat.gob.mx
2. Schedule an appointment (yep, you have to fight for a spot 😂)
3. Bring your INE, CURP, proof of address, and whatever you’re going to change
4. Arrive with patience and a good attitude 🧘
5. They help you and done, they update it and give you your receipt

💬 Tips from buddy to buddy:

✅ Do it even if you’re feeling lazy, because later you won’t be able to invoice or do any paperwork
✅ Don’t put just anything… because if the SAT sees something weird, you’ll have to clear it up and that’s a whole other mess
✅ If you don’t know which regime to choose, look up info first or ask. Not everyone should be under “RIF” or “RESICO”, okay 🙅‍♂️
