I recommend checking out this interesting article: What the Sagrada Familia of Barcelona is like.

 • In person: Go to the Traffic Violations Service Module at the <a href="https://www.chusmeando.com/preguntas-y-respuestas/que-es-una-casa-matriz-y-por-que-es-el-corazon-de-las-empresas-globales/" title="¿Qué es una central office and why is it the heart of global companies?”>Citizen Service Office “Plaza de la República”, located at Calle Guillermo Prieto 145, Col. San Rafael, Cuauhtémoc Borough. There may also be modules in other boroughs.
 • Online: You can file the revocation appeal on the Ministry of Mobility Portal (gobmx.mobility.cdmx) in the “Traffic Violations” section.

If the fine was issued in a municipality in the State of Mexico (such as Ecatepec, Naucalpan, Tlalnepantla, Nezahualcóyotl, etc.), you must go to the Fine Collection System (SIREM) of the specific municipality where the violation occurred.

 • In person: You must locate the address of the Fine Collection Office or Collecting Office of the municipality in question. For example, for Naucalpan it is the “Subdirección de Recaudación de Multas” at Av. San Mateo s/n, Col. Reforma Social.
 • Online: Check the specific municipal government website to see if they offer the procedure online.

Important recommendations:

 • Deadline: You generally have 15 business days to file the appeal (revocation or reconsideration) from the notification of the fine.
 • Documentation: Bring the original and a copy of: the fine (violation), driver’s license, circulation card, proof of address, official identification, and any evidence supporting your defense (photos, videos, etc.).
 • Verify first: Confirm on the official SEMOVI website (for CDMX) or the municipality’s website (for EDOMEX) the status of your violation and the exact requirements before going in person.
