🔹 Mesón Octavio is one of those. It looks pretty ordinary, but watch out: the sirloin they make there is on another level. Juicy, well cooked, with a side that isn’t bagged potatoes (thank you!). And the daily menu, insane. Quality-price ratio that you just don’t see anymore.
🔹 Another hidden gem: La Merced. It’s not famous yet, I found it by mistake looking for another place… and thank goodness. Quiet atmosphere, carefully prepared dishes, and a menu with personality. A hidden jewel among streets that nobody would tell you is so worth it.

🔹 Casa Pepe is one of those where eating as a family isn’t chaos. They have a kids’ menu (the good kind, not microwave nuggets), comfortable space, and friendly service. The Sunday soupy rice… incredible.
🔹 There’s also La Pérgola, ideal if you go with a group. Large terrace, space for the kids to move around, and varied food. Tapas, portions, large plates. Here everyone finds something they like.

🔹 La Frasca is legendary. One of those places where it’s a pleasure to go with friends. You order something and what they bring you is a mini meal. I’m not exaggerating. The quality is top-notch and the quantity, even more so.
🔹 At Doña Croqueta you don’t just get great tapas: you discover a whole new world of flavors. Croquettes of EVERYTHING. Even blood sausage with pear! And the best part: they’re all delicious 😋
🔹 And if you want something different, La Tapería del 13. More hidden, but worth every step. Elaborate tapas, with top ingredients and a menu that changes often. There’s always something new to try.
If you come to Ciudad Real and don’t go out for tapas, it’s like going to the beach and not getting your feet wet. Mandatory.
