If you’re looking for a total play internet provider, you’ve probably come across promises of incredible speeds and prices that seem too good to be true. In this article, we reveal what you really need to know before signing up.
What does Total Play offer in internet?
Total Play has positioned itself as one of the most aggressive fiber optic providers in the Mexican market. Its main offering includes speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps, with packages that combine internet, television, and telephony. Installation is usually free, and technical service promises a response in less than 24 hours.
Real advantages you should consider
- Symmetric fiber optics: same upload and download speed, ideal for video calls and gaming.
- No forced contracts: you can cancel without penalties on most plans.
- Competitive prices: during the first year, the promotions are hard to beat.
What NO ONE tells you
The promotional price rises considerably after the first year. In addition, coverage is still limited in peripheral areas, and customer service can be slow during peak hours. If your neighborhood doesn’t have Total Play fiber optics, they’ll offer you a radiofrequency connection with lower stability.
Before signing up for total play internet, verify the exact coverage at your address, ask about the real cost after the promotion, and compare with other local providers. The promised speed is not always what you get during peak demand hours.
