Let’s be honest… who hasn’t spent months waiting for summer as if it were the only motivation to survive the rest of the year? 😅 And I don’t know about you, but this summer 2025 comes with EVERYTHING. It’s no longer just about putting together the plan for the trip: now it’s also about choosing with whom, when, how, what to pack in the suitcase (and which suitcase, because yes, now even that matters). Everything became a bit more “techie,” more trendy, more… futuristic? Well, you get the idea 🤖.

A few days ago I was looking at deals to get away for at least a long weekend, and I ended up in a black hole of Google, Instagram, TikTok, and whatever else exists these days. Amid so much searching, I discovered that what people are talking about most this year isn’t just “beach and mojitos,” no sir. People are talking about sustainable travel 🌍, about smart gadgets for travelers 🔌, about more “authentic” experiences (so they say), and obviously… about the smart suitcase 🧠🧳. Yes, smart suitcase. I was also like 😳 the first time.
And between putting together the plan with your friends (who all say “yes, let’s do it” and then disappear 👻), and searching for tickets that don’t cost you half a kidney, you realize there are a ton of new things in this whole travel business. Some are great. Others, well, pure marketing. But you still get hooked. Because yes, there’s something magical about planning a trip: it’s like making a promise to yourself that you’re going to break out of the routine, even if just for a while 🛫.
And that… that’s what we’re all looking for in summer 🧡.
